all i could really do was walk around and use the night vision. i found a key upstairs that i assume opens the door on the ground floor, but the i was never able to interact with it. it is a cool concept, and i enjoy the found footage aspect of it.
That key is for a wooden gate which leads to a yard on the right side of the house (when facing the house door from outside). I was confused too at first.
really short but, not bd of a game i played 2 more games of yours, what kinda sucks is the fact that they are really short, other than that i give them 6.5/10
Thanks for playing. I have couple of upcoming games, not in development at this point, but they will come out till the end of the year. Best to you Trailmix ✌🎉
Good game! I would recommend having the night vision as a default, can't see otherwise, or have something on screen telling me to do it. But otherwise, well done!
Thanks for playing. I liked the video a lot. As for the recommendation, honestly, I put the controls option in the game, on the menu and I do so on the game's page. I think that is enough for people, who are interested in the game, because it is literally 1 mouse scroll to see the controls and if you invest your time in the game, you should be able to read that. Other issue with showing controls during the gameplay is that it breaks the immersion - I have seen other games do that and tell you what to do, while playing and for me its not the style to go. Maybe I will consider putting the controls during gameplay, but, once again, it seems excessive, unless someone really does not care about the controls and plays it, which is not my fault. Best to you 👍
So glad to see people, who played my previous games coming back and trying out new projects - super appreciate that! I promise next time to leave the door to the basement open lol. Cheers mate 🍻
Thanks a lot for your time and great playthrough. The house is strange. It was an asset made by someone else, but I remodeled some things to make it looks weird, so, that's a compliment I guess. Cheers man ✌
Thanks! I watched the playthrough and it was fun. Appreciate the feedback and your time with this. I promise to make a longer, better game soon. Cheers mate ✌
I probably should have looked at the controls before playing... I really liked the game for what it was. I also played ASCENDANCE and i must say you're taking things in the right direction !
I made a playthrough on your game if you want to see my reaction on it :)
Very good for a start! Yours is the first one in the game list here. There are a few things that could get fixed up, like the sound effects repeating, but other than that it gave me a good fright! it was really good with the vehicle part! Nice!
Thanks for playing the game. I watched the playthrough and it was great. I am considering the suggestions, yet, the sound effects are not repeating. Well, all the sound in the game are full files, meaning they are not cut or altered, but, the car siren is altered and it may sound like a repeat, but it is fully done on purpose. Just wanted to clarify that 1 thing. Best to you 💌
Super fun! Energetic and spooky playthrough! Thanks for the feedback man and sorry about the interaction. I promise next time, I will have E key to pick up stuff. Cheers 💌
Nice short game, I got chills during the final part lol. If you're interested, then I did find a bug where the wooden gate still plays sound when you interact with it after it has already been opened. Overall I enjoyed the visuals and atmosphere most, especially how the night vision looked
Thank you so much Mike. Truly a pro giving the best feedback - so happy 💌. Oh, I will check out the door sound, maybe it is a bugged interaction. Glad you enjoyed the game overall ✌
This was pretty solid, got confused with the second key as I didn not know where it went to at first. Also tried to search the coordinates to see what it was Lol. Overall, pretty good. Made a video on it.
It was actually no problem recording with obs being completely in the background. I have prior experience on an older spec machine to where if obs was not in focus / behind stuff it would be not prioritized at all and it would destroy the recording. Seems like my current system solved this problem. So, if the same problem happens with any newer games of yours, it won't be an issue at all.
This was an interesting Found Footage Horror game about investigating Grasshopper Creek and learning more about the horror within. I liked the implementation of the camera and the night vision light as it worked really well in making the entire atmosphere more horrifying and creepy yet enabling the player to be able to look around in the dark. The game is quite short but it is able to encapsulate the idea of the paranormal lurking at Grasshopper Creek through usage of objects and animations. I loved the ending of the game the most as I actually went ahead to Google Maps to explore a little of the haunted location. Definitely creepy and interesting to be introduced to such a location.
Other than that, some issues I had with the game is probably the difficulty in picking up the keys at times and I got stuck on one of a doors for a while when opening the door but somehow I managed to unstuck myself from the door so alls good. Would be cool if there were more events in the game to bring out the story of what happened there to make full use of the camera.
Thank you for reading my comment and I wish you good luck in your future endeavours.
The most amazing review I've got so far 💌 Huge thanks for this. I really appreciate the detailed description and I am glad you enjoyed the game. The real location is kind of creepy, I hope you did not see anything suspicious there lol 😁 I will try to fix the problems you had with the game. Cheers ✌
Trying to record this for my channel and ran into one issue, the game forces itself into full screen and can't be windowed using alt-enter or F11. I use a program called borderless gaming to make all games that I play into a 1920x1080 window for recording purposes, and it couldn't even solve the problem. The reason why I can't play the game as is it because I run a single ultrawide setup and I don't record in 3440x1440 because it looks weird on YouTube and that not every game (and I imagine including this one) doesn't support that for obvious reasons. I play in windowed for the ability to also see OBS. All the previous games of yours that I played went into Windowed just fine and borderless gaming was able to shrink them to a nice 1920x1080 window. So, something changed in your code, I see this is the same copper cube 6 game engine so it may or may not be an engine fault. I would look into that as I am definitely not the only one with this exact recording setup. Game looks good btw would definitely like to record myself playing it.
I do apologize Fearagen, this is really unfortunate 🥺 The code has not changed so far. I got 3 official playthroughs and 10 play testers, who did not have the problem, but I guess not everyone uses that type of setup. If you can't find the way to record the game, it will be fine, still your support and feedback means a lot to me 💌
Tomorrow, I might give it another shot, definitely would play this however it takes I'll probably end up running my computer at 1920x1080 and just sacrifice monitoring OBS. Seeing your testers didn't encounter issues with putting the game in windowed probably means there is something going on in my current Windows installation. Will try to make it work as this game looks like it is a good one judging just from the screenshots.
Nice work! It was creepy, straightforward for the most part and lasted long enough. The car alarm going off definitely added a nice creepy atmosphere.
A couple of minor bugs/issues I encountered that might be worth keeping in mind for future games: going up the stairs to climb over the railing was finnicky, and probably could've been handled by not having a rail there at all. Also picking up the keys was a little awkward.
Otherwise, I had fun and look forward to seeing what you make next! Great job!
Big Big thank you for trying this out and giving me very much needed support and feedback. Will definitely improve upon the next games, for sure. Best to you ✌
Great game, Niven! It gave me Outlast vibes. I was surprised with myself when I was just guessing what the threat was and was actually right! The coordinates were a fantastic touch too!

Thank you for short scary experience! Can't wait to see what other games you'll make.
Thanks for trying out the game. Sorry for the inconvenience, I will make sure to specify the tasks next time. Thanks for the feedback 👍

Well explained, thanks for responding. It makes more sense when now that you explained it. Good luck in your future game development :)
Took me a) too long to realise there's night vision and b) that I was never destined to enter that basement door!
Great game though a fun one to start my video.
Check it out :)
So glad to see people, who played my previous games coming back and trying out new projects - super appreciate that!
I promise next time to leave the door to the basement open lol. Cheers mate 🍻
now there's a dev who caters to their audience 🙂 haha thanks!
a little confused but overall had a couple good scares
Thanks for playing. Appreciate the feedback and support. Cheers 👏
Leider gibt es hier kein Video. Schön, dass du es gespielt hast ✌
Good game. Congrats!

Creepy. The layout of the house is very strange xD
Thanks a lot for your time and great playthrough.

Played the game on my channel! Thought it was pretty spooky, though I'm surprised none of the keys I found opened the door to the spooky basement!
Loved the playthrough!
I promise, next time, the basement doors will open lol. Cheers man 🍻

You're so right, sirens do have that little pause once in a while. nice touch!
good final
Thanks for playing and giving much needed feedback. Cheers 😊
This was pretty great! I did however have an issue trying to pick up the key at first. But other than that, I really enjoyed this!
Super fun! Energetic and spooky playthrough! Thanks for the feedback man and sorry about the interaction. I promise next time, I will have E key to pick up stuff. Cheers 💌
Oh no worries, it's all good! No problem, it was a fun game and I enjoyed it all!

The atmosphere and the horror aspect is good. Short yet enjoyable.
Thanks for playing, appreciate the feedback ✌
Cool game here's a speedrun
Thanks for the feedback. Well-done, 1:34 - new record! 👏
Very creepy game. I love the zombie arms part. Reminded me of a classic horror movie scene. Great job!
Thank you! Glad you liked the game. The hand from the grave was kind of homage to the "Evil Dead", just spooky 😁
Thank you for the kind feedback. Who knows Meeka, maybe someone was in the house, lol. Cheers 💌

Huge thanks for the upload and fun you had during the gameplay. I think next game will be fine on your setup. All the best to you Fearagen 😎

Sure. But just in case, I wonder if it makes the difference. I changed some settings 😁
The game's interesting for a short game and it has a nice atmosphere to it as well. Keep it up.
Here's my channel for other games I have played. https://www.youtube.com/c/Levont
A thousand thanks to you Levont. Great commentary and exceptional channel 🥇
Just watched the playthrough and it was hilarious! Fun, fun, fun! Thank you 💌

Thanks again man, you are a true gem 💌 Don't struggle too much with this✌
That was very cool, I was stuck on the door but don't worry all games have bugs. I really liked the zooming and the night vision mechanic. Well Done!
Thank you so much RenderPi 💌
Yeah, sorry about that. Probably has to do with collision. I will try to fix that. Cheers ✌
