Loved it! Love the nice little touch that he looks toward the mouse pointer on the title screen. The game is so simple and yet so deeply and effectively tense and unsettling. About to record the second one right now for tomorrow's video!
I love that the primary color man in the menu looks to the side when you hover over the buttons, that's a fun detail :D
It took a while to find the fuse box, but once I did I was determined to beat the challenge, I was expecting that the PCM will just follow me and I'll have to keep running but he had this weird and interesting mechanic where was jumping around and I'm assuming if you look at him he doesn't get as close as fast, and then if you survive the encounter long enough he went away for a little while. I don't how true this is from the coding perspective, but this added a nice layer of depth to the danger of the game. And since he would jump around so fast sometimes it also made me think that he's faster than me and I don't stand much of a chance, so it made him feel more dangerous, or, scarier to meet, because I'm not sure if I survive that. So it seemed like it's a tough challenge and it made me think "this is probably what playing dark souls feels like" :D But I made it and found fuses, then found the exit and it made it much more satisfying to know that I beat it. Other than that the environment is simple enough, just a maze really with some objects kind of working as landmarks. But yeah, I did enjoy this and I'll stop rambling now, good work!
It is one of the earliest attempts at making an AI, which chases the character aaand, I failed as you can see. The basic premise is - find the fuses, escape. The character is just patrolling around the maze, with no proper coding, just a proximity meter, once it gets close the protagonist - boom, kill screen. Lmao, this was a pretty silly one, but if it scared you, I feel super proud.
THIS IS THE BEST FOR WHEN YOU ARE PLAYING FOR THE INDIE GAMES AND IT DIDNT HAVE THE SLENDERMAN BUT IT WAS ALSO WITH THE SCARY GENRE. I THINK ON THE PART WHERE THERE WAS THE PRIMARY COLOR MAN I DID PLAY ON AND IT WAS GOOD WITH A SIDE OF KETCHUP.
I'm glad you enjoyed the game. Thanks for the follow and support with the gameplay. I am working on the sequel, yes and it will come out soon, hope so. Cheers π
A thousand thanks man! Sorry you were not able to finish the game, in fact, I never finished it myself lol π€£I mean the AI is just glitched on purpose, so, don't worry π Cheers!
This was a great game. I really enjoyed it. Wasn't too easy but wasn't too difficult. Got anymore games like this? Or just more great games in general?
Huge thanks for playing this, I really appreciate the feedback. This was just a small project really. If you would be interested, you can check out my new release "Shunned", just more atmospheric and fun to play. Cheers!
You are too kind. I have no match for the talent like you, but I try to entertain some folks. Trust me, this one is not really a big game, more of a Jam project. If you want to check out my games, I would suggest Mote and Ascendance, those ones are somewhat okay games. Thank you for the comment Mike.
I had a great time playing, the setting is very good and apparently I have acquired a new color phobia, good game! Game Complete Here No Deaths | Juego completo Aqui Sin Morir πππππππ
This game is fucking crazy, the environment it puts you in makes you suffer every second of gameplay, from the background sounds to not knowing what you might find when you turn every corner, 10/10 recommended
That was a lot more fun than i expected. He's quiet a nuisance but it's definitely beatable once you figure out where everything is. Great job, dude! Thanks for the fun!
Thanks yeah I really enjoyed sorry for the late response I been busy with work and i really appreciate u watching the video thanks very much for the wonderful comment and I really enjoyed the game canβt wait for more! πππΎπ―
I think this game would be significantly better if the ai for the primary color man was tweaked,
Sometimes I would respawn and immediately be killed and many times I was put in a situation where I had no choice but to let him kill me. Overall for a game made in a short period I see what was trying to be executed and I can appreciate that.
I had no idea there was a game jam dedicated to PCM, that's pretty cool. As for this game, it's a standard maze game where you collect items and find the exit. I don't think there is an issue with the difficulty being too high. If anything, once you understand how PCM works you can go the entire round without even seeing him.
I don't really know how I would improve a game like this, as there isn't really enough source material to go off of. According to the PCM Game Jam, the entire point of this game jam is to CREATE the backstory / lore of PCM so my feedback is really only limited to the gameplay.
Personally, I'm not a fan of maze games at all. This game was suggested by a viewer so I'm happy to play it for them, but otherwise, I just don't think maze games are very interesting. Perhaps a more narrative focus could have been more fitting for PCM but I understand that may be a bit out of your scope of skills if you're a beginner.
The entire point of the jam was to showcase the unique set of the lore, which is briefly seen in the analog horror video, created by Adam, who is the artist behind Primary Color Man and once again, for the jam, as it is just being developed, it was an experiment to see if it does work. This was not made to be a story driven, "Amnesia"/"Silent Hill" like game. I don't think Slender had that popularity with the lore either, only after people kept looking at creepypasta, which the game was based on and after the "Eight Pages" they have published "Arrival", which was pretty decent and it did bring more to the table. Basically, for the Primary Color Man this is more of a subjective look at the character.
To be honest, I am not a fan of maze games either. I am also not fan of P.T. clones, Backrooms lore and many others, but for some reason, as you said in the video - "there are million good games", but somehow my crappy, half baked try out works better than others. And trust me, I am not super happy about it. Rather shocked to be in this situation.
If you look at my portfolio I have some published some alright and some decent games, but nobody cares about those games, which points to the narrative that I do understand you more than you might think. And I fully acknowledge all the flaws the game has, I do realize what the game is, I am fully self aware. Just throwing this out there.
Huge thanks for playing the game and showcasing it. I really appreciate the most objective feedback I've got and I fully agree with it. I do wish we had a platform to talk about it more, but maybe some other time. Good day to you.
Listen, I really enjoy these types of conversations and I apologize for incorrectly assuming your skill level as a developer. If you'd ever like to reach out and have a discussion over anything, I'm more than happy to share some words! At the end of the day, your game has accomplished things that mine haven't so clearly there are valuable things we can learn from each other.
I apologize for anything that I may have said within the contents of the video that may have 'missed the mark' so to speak.
It was pretty fun to play this, the style of the game is so cool (just like a colorful maze) and also you can spend short or long time playing it, congrats for this random game!!
I got this recommended to me and it was an absolute blast! I love how original and the concept of the entire game. Super great and refreshing thank you for making this masterpiece!
Loving that background and thumbnail! Thanks for playing this, I truly appreciate all that time and effort you put into completing this and I deeply apologize for your soul. I hope Primary Color Man gets it next time. Cheers!
Game's really fun and I really like the concept of the color man. Though it's hard to tell how fast it is since it loves to do sudden burst of speed. Other then that, nice game.

First of all, I do wish I was a beginner, but I am not. I have been doing game development for a while and created many narrative driven games, most of them having original story, script and background, some of them have just atmosphere and lore without any "clichΓ©" pop-ups, which is why, this "not a game" experimental prototype was a silly try out to see if players would grab onto the eeriness and mysteriousness of the character and at the same time the silliness and just illogical set-up...and I guess they did.
The entire point of the jam was to showcase the unique set of the lore, which is briefly seen in the analog horror video, created by Adam, who is the artist behind Primary Color Man and once again, for the jam, as it is just being developed, it was an experiment to see if it does work.
