Hey Niven! I posted a video review of this game on my channel that includes a more in-depth look at your more recent output. I'm a big fan of your work and I hope you enjoy the video!

(+1)

A thousand thanks for checking out my games and supporting me on this level mate. You purchased the game, you played through, made an awesome video - what else can you do that doesn't make my day superb and great - truly appreciate that! Best to you!

(+1)

Wow! This is your a very big game with such huge story!

There is so much of a special atmosphere of dark gothic, superstitious and drama.

It's like dark fairy tale for adult people =) You did a great job with a lot of characters, their personalities, dialogue and unique atmosphere of dark and scary legend. I love it!

(+1)

Monumental thanks for playing and supporting me on this level mate, you are truly super kind and awesome!
Glad that you enjoyed the game. I worked hard on this one and I wish I could have made things more different, but I guess it is okay for now. Once again, all the best and cheers 💌

You're welcome! And keep going =)

Hey!

Crimson Hunt, what a sad and wholesome story, and the action sequence, cutscenes were really epic to see. The castle area reminded me of Resident Evil 4 from the visuals. I also discovered that if you click reload it reloads instantly and if you shoot it shoots right away too so I could click R and left mouse button one after another and shoot really fast this way. That's probably not intended but it was really fun :D

Good game!

(+1)

Huge thanks again and again for the ongoing support!
Yeah, I worked super hard on this one, with translation to medieval as well as the setting. Each scene took me about 1 week, and that was nothing compare to the struggle of shooting mechanic. Sadly, I learned how to delay the shooting after the project was finished and never updated it. But, for the future games, it is a handy trick.
Appreciate all the feedback Vidas and best to you as always!

(+1)

I like how you have these medieval games every once in a while, maybe you secretly want to make an RPG some day haha

(+1)

In my opinion, medieval horror is underrated. Nowadays, the horror genre is popularized by slashers, VHS type realistic cam/walking sims and that's alright, I guess. But, classy, medieval horror game is rare. Maybe I will make an RPG one day lol.

(+1)

Yeah I agree it's something that's not very common, hope you make more medieval horror then :D

(+1)

Absolutely fantastic game, just a wonderful playthrough experience. The story, the writing, the environment design, the ending, everything was done fantastically. Easily my favorite of your games that I've played so far!

I sincerely appreciate your feedback and honest review of my game. It was truly the best playthrough and I was very surprised with how much you actually enjoyed the story. All the best to you my friend!

I loved every second of this. Super good story (who doesn't like vampires?) great immersion and great to commentate on! I enjoyed this cheesy little adventure. Looking forward to whatever's next ! :)

Here's my video on the game. Enjoy !!
(+1)

You are super kind with your words!
I watched the entire video, it was amazing. Loved the voice acting and overall, I am glad you enjoyed the game. Best to you and hope to see you around my game's page more lol. Cheers!

(+1)

Okay this was so awesome! Definitely got me scared a bit but once I got that crossbow, I was unbeatable!! Such a great job!

(1 edit) (+1)

Phenomenal video mate! I loved it! Thank you so much for this! The way you got excited about the monster battle, hell yeah, although I hope it was not too disappointing lol. I'm glad that you enjoyed the game overall. All the best to you my friend ✌
Edit: That quote in the beginning is actually a reimagining of the quote from Bram Stoker's "Dracula" - 😏

(+1)

Loved it Niven!!! I had a lot of fun but I have to say... the font and dialogues ate me up 😭 I messed it up so many times 😭 But I enjoyed it even then. Also the fact that I could spam the crossbow was just chef's kiss for me lol

Thank you Growls for such nice comments. It really means a lot. Once again, sorry about the font, unfortunately can't do anything with it now lol. Yeah, the crossbow spam is iconic now lol. Thanks!
Best of luck with the channel. Cheers ✌

Great game. Loved the story so much. Always enjoy your releases!

Superb video! Lovely commentary and great reactions at certain dialogues lol. Your enthusiasm truly moved the plot. Once again, I can't appreciate enough how supportive you are. I'm glad you liked the game. All the best to you 🙌

Amazing game looking forward to play more of your games

Your daughter has died and is buried in your backyard. Your wife is about to succumb to the clutches of a ravaging and merciless plague. As an honorable man, you have no other option but to leave your humble abode and try to find a cure. Rumors are floating around that there is a remedy out there, somewhere… So, you set out on a quest to desperately find it. A pursuit that leads you to a far-flung city, monks, mazes, and lots and lots of mystery. Will you find the potion? Will you survive the onslaught of the dead, the desperate and the demons? Only one way to find out. Buy the game and play it.

Niven Hedinger has outclassed himself once more, by releasing a game that invites you to immerse yourself in times long gone, and to feel the pain of a desperate and desolate man.

Cons:

  • Some of the dialogues turn the game into a static experience. How about ‘Walk & Talk?’

  • Wandering around town with a lantern is quite difficult as the light has a sharp fall-off and makes finding your way around a big challenge.

  • LMB interacts and shoots arrows once the crossbow is obtained at the same time [minor issue]

Pros:

  • Wonderful story

  • Great graphics

  • Immersive action/s

  • ½ hour well spent in finding your way out of everything

  • Unexpected, but understandable end of the game

Therefore, a big thumbs up. Well done, Niven!

I was highly anticipating your comment and it just made my day! Thank you Daniel! Thanks a lot for giving such a well crafted review and comment, I can't describe the happiness, honestly.
In the future projects I will definitely consider the cons. Honestly, I'm done with the medieval atmosphere, as of now, which means, regular, spooky games will be served weekly, at least monthly from now on.
Best to you and can't wait for another video! Salut 🍷

I'm known as an honest man [according to those who know me]. I can't butter up to anyone, and that directness also lands me in hot water, as most people don't want to hear the truth. They want to hear niceties. When I see and/or experience niceties, I will say so. When things bother me, I will say so as well. But whatever I say, is what I honestly feel/think, it is never about being right or wrong. It also means you never have to worry about second agendas and all the crap that comes with it. It's just me and my feelings/emotions.

You made a great game and I enjoyed playing it. I hope my comments reflect that enjoyment.

Sincerely looking forward to your next project. Regardless of what time it is set in.

Once again, thanks for kind words, it truly means a lot. I saw your YT comment and that was super nice. I do know you are an honest man, because I once saw you playing this game, if I remember correctly it was about a lake cabin, and you got so upset with the mechanics, in a right sense, first time I saw you just go right at the game, rightfully of course. What I mean is, I do understand that if you don't like something you would say, which is why I wanted you to play this and give an opinion. It is valuable and important.
Best to you Daniel 🍻

Thanks for the key Niven! Really appreciate it. Just finished it & really like the overall tone. I also really like B&W styles so that had me drawn into it also.

I think the more I see of your games, the more impressed I become. I remember when you were first starting off & it is great to see how far you have come. This is definitely one of your best games yet & I applaud you for having a narrative with sub plots going on. Very good! Looking forward to the next one.

Thank you so much Aaron, for such in depth feedback and you can't really imagine how much your support means to me. I would give you a free key, code or anything, because you are on of the developers, who I truly look up to and it might sound cringe to some, I can't deny that, but you work motivates me to try new things and bring something original, worthwhile, even if it might not always work out the way planned.
I started doing games on BGE and yeah, it has been a journey. Of course this is just a hobby, but it really makes me appreciate the good people around even more. Best to you man and wish all the great things. Waiting for your new projects as well. Cheers 🍻

Hey, played the full game and I really liked it! The story was well done, the visuals were good, there was a good use of audio, and I liked the dialogue as well! Keep up the work! It was scary too and ran well on my PC. :D

Huge thanks for playing Lachlan and supporting me on this level, it means a lot, truly. I'm glad the experience was satisfying. Best to you as well and hope you see more of your content soon. Loving it so far. Cheers 🍻

(1 edit) (+1)

You've yet again released a beautiful game that I'll probably never gonna forget lol. It's weird that your games give such a special feeling, and the way you present the stories is just perfect! I can't wait for your next project!
Stay safe and have a nice day!

Thank you good Sir for playing my game. Loved the video, the jokes, everything. Your deep dive into the story and positive feedback means a world to me, truly. Likewise, wish you all the best man 🍻

(+1)

I am not surprised that you have released another fantastic game!  I am such a fan of your games and story telling!  I really really liked this game!  I hope it blows up for you!  You should be famous!!!!!
(+1)

Thy moving images didst astound my senses! Verily, thy video was a marvel to behold 🤣🤣Oh my, I actually have nightmares from that font and language!
Thanks for playing my game Ian. I really, really appreciate your feedback, enthusiasm and fun approach to such tragic story lol. The font is definitely an eye sore, but oh well, that's medieval times for you. Promise, next time, the words will have a regular font. Best to you and your channel.

FYI, I watched your video this morning, but because I had issue on my YT channel, I was unable to post a comment, still can't. Just know that I watched it fully and gave it a big like. Cheers!

(+1)

You’re the best Niven!  I hope you make a million more games for the world to enjoy.  They bring me so much happiness and fun memories.  It also doesn’t hurt that YOU are super cool as well!  Cheers my friend!

Awww, thank you 💌

(+1)

This was a really good game! I managed to turn the bow into a high fire-rate weapon Lol. Made a video on it.

(+1)

Thanks a bunch for playing this man. I was unable to post a comment on YT, because I had some issues, concerning my own channel. Anyways, I am super glad you enjoyed this. The semi-auto crossbow was fun lol. I do think it might have been the issue with the reload, because it reloads and you are able to press the R key fast so yeah, yet it was never supposed to be too challenging. As for the story, it was quite simple, Matthew went to the village, got the cure for his wife and then unfortunately passed, because you know, so many things happened. It is more of a tragic story rather than adventure you know.
Thanks once again for playing. Next time, I the language will be regular lol. Cheers!

(+1)

No problem! Hope you can figure out what it is wrong with your google account, weird that you can't post comments. I checked held for review and nothing appeared in there.

(+1)

I actually made a video explaining what has happened. I should be up and running in couple of hours, but yeah, someone thought I was spamming in comments and trying to scam? YT is really weird at times.

Here is my playthrough of Crimson Hunt! I enjoyed the black & white filter to it, & the fantasy genre going on! I had no idea what to expect with the ending haha! Here is my playthrough!

A thousand thanks once again for playing my game and giving it your honest review. Loved the video and best to you 💌

(+1)

Crimson Hunt is a really cool medieval gothic game with a dark ambience. Its not a fast game - take your time and enjoy the good story. Well done. ❤

Thanks for checking my game out! I really appreciate the positive feedback. I tried to make it more about the character in the game, so it is a slow burn, yeah. Best of luck with your games as well mate. Cheers!

(+1)

great man!

Huge thanks for playing my game. I really enjoyed the commentary and it was fun to watch. Best of luck with the channel and hope to see you back checking out other newer projects. Cheers 🎉

Cheers

Loved it, man! You had me in the beginning thinking there was no sprint, lol!

One of the best gameplay's I've seen you do, not because of my game, but your commentary and confusion at times - gold content. Thanks once again for the support. Cheers!

Just like to keep it real 🤣

Great game man!
