A neat little game. Even without the usual things trying to scare me [jump-startles, sound FX, 'scary' music, etc.], this game comes with a strong atmo of its own. And it's just because of the lack of the aforementioned, that CRUX becomes interesting. I have a tendency to turn to the right [in games]. In hindsight, it looks like I should have checked out the fire first, but I'm not sure if that would have been of any significance . The game ran smooth, with no visible bugs or other hiccups. I thoroughly enjoyed playing it. Well done.

Personally, as a writer, I would have placed the town/forest somewhere. Below is an example of how I would have written the intro to the game [not that you have to do something similar. This is meant to help you, not criticize you];

"Chloe is a private investigator, who lives in a long faded away town, known as Crux. A place close to the [southern] border with Mexico. Tonight, she is working on the open cases of various missing locals, who all have one thing in common; they went missing in the nearby Crux Forest.

People who live around there, claim that paranormal events occur during most nights. The town’s police detective, Pranav, called her to investigate the strange phenomenon, as he is too busy trying to solve two recent murder cases, that eat up all of his time.

In order to collect visual evidence, she brought along a camera, to record her nightly endeavor."

Deeply thankful for the input. I was amazed by your comment, coming from a person, who does a little writing, your suggestion is gold. Thank you! I am trying to build up more story driven games and your feedback for more than helpful. Definitely doing better next time, I promise.

@ Niven Hedinger,

You're welcome, Niven.

Check out my Amazon link [stories] and the link to My Free Music [on my channel] and if you like/want, we can work together and come up with a game that's something different.

I like your approach and am willing to invest time and effort into getting you help things done.

I prefer synergetic [work] environments in which the only goal is to make progress and turn whatever is at hand, into a win-win situation for all involved.

Whatever you choose, I'm on your side.

Kudos to you, good sir.

Thank you so much Sir!
I do have your info and contacts and will see, for sure. I am very humbled with the offer. For now, I am doing something else, but if I get back with the games, I sure will contact you. Thanks.

@ Niven Hedinger,

Sure. Take your time. Everything in life should be done at the right moment. Even if we aren't aware when that moment has arrived or passed us by.

"Rationalization tends to be the last refuge of desperation, but then again, I am desperate to understand the rationale behind everything." - DR

Well said, Sir.

awesome game man, love the environment and the small area makes it more spooky and interesting, I don't understand the meaning of the screen turning red though, btw enjoyed the game , cheers :)

Thank you very much, I appreciate the kind feedback. Yeah, I tried to create more atmosphere and that's what I came up with. In the end, when you find the doll, the forest actually puts curse on protagonist and she becomes part of the forest by attending the ritual, so, that's kind of a hidden meaning. Will make better games in the future. Thanks again, cheers!

Bl4ke played my game and I am really glad they enjoyed it and attended the ritual. Thanks to them.

Thanks so much. I really enjoyed the short gameplay, probably the fastest one I've seen. And also Happy Birthday! Weirdly enough it's my birthday too so, weird coincidence.

Thanks again, enjoy your day.

Thanks for commenting about issue. If extracting file does not help, then it's probably the download issue, since many have played it and personally, I've tested the file on 4 different PCs. Maybe you can contact me via email and I can give you direct access to the files, so you can play. Glad to help and thanks for showing interest.

Yes i will contact you right away! Thanks!

GOOD SHORT HORROR DEV

Thanks for checking my game out. Deeply appreciate the feedback.

Mae The Sheep played my game. The sound was really too loud, which I apologize for. Thanks to them for giving my game a shot and time to attend the ritual.

Do you have to comment down every damn time a reviewer checks your game? You're not reaching anyone like this.

First of all, thanks for the nice comment, appreciate your concern. I do know that, don't worry, I am thanking every one on their own channel and if they post here I thank them too, because I am glad they played my game. Those who have not posted here, I am collecting to have it saved here, just a personal preference, which does not do any harm to anyone, which leads me to the point of this being personal matter and not so much concerning you. Although, thanks for additional advice.

Edit: And please, do something more productive, rather than spreading hate and using offensive words for no reason. It's a bad taste buddy.

CyborgBoxTv played my game. Thanks to them for checking it out and giving it a try.

Player 74 Who? played my game and I appreciate their genuine feedback and gameplay. Thanks to them.

Stella Abbasi played my game and she did amazing job capturing the silent atmosphere of the game. Also, she is the first YouTuber, who ever played one of my first games, early when I started. Thanks to her.

Nice game. I definitely liked the eerie vibe and atmosphere. It was quite creepy, especially the graveyard area with the whispers. I was a little lost during parts of my play through, as stated at the end of my video, but then again I'm always lost. Would love to see more. I'll have to check out your other games. BTW, at the end of my video I said something about how I thought I may have read that this was either your first game, or your first game using this specific software. At the time I didn't realize that you already have many games here. So again, I'll definitely check some of those out. Hope my video was okay! Cool stuff. :)

Thank you so much!
I appreciate the feedback, really, really interesting gameplay. The game is supposed to be atmospheric and I enjoyed you walking around forest trying to find clues. I will try to improve on controls and mechanics next time. Thanks!
