MAN this guy could run a little bit LOL
The flutuacting things were a nice touch!
In the end not a bad game, nice concept and the atmosphere was so good
Huge thanks for playing and supporting my work, I deeply appreciate that. Yes, considering all that he has been through I guess he could've run a little longer. Best to you and thanks again for playing.
Not my favorite game you've ever made still pretty good though I can tell you put a lot of work into it and really tried good job.
Many thanks for playing! This was the first big project I've done using the "routine formula" of doing the same things over and over and expecting a change in the environment. Thanks for checking it out. Best to you!
A thousand times thank you for playing and supporting my work, it truly means a lot. Fun video, left a like and a comment. Best to you!
I can't agree more. This is my favorite as well, because it was one of those bigger projects. Thanks ππ»
Shelved Whispers, I think it was so much creepier than it had to be just because of small amount of things happening in the first half of the game, I was expecting something around every corner but it kept the suspense and when things did happen I think they worked so much better because of a good build up. Also I won't be cleaning spiderwebs ever again. Good work!
Thank you! Thank you so very much for playing and supporting me, every day literally. Glad that you liked this specific one, because I worked very hard on in. Best to you Vidas!
Thank you! Thanks a bunch for supporting my work.
I deeply appreciate the feedback. You were super kind to write a review as well and give all the positive comments. Hope to bring something new to the table next time. Cheers!
Loved the video. Huge thanks once again for trying my game out. I really appreciate the support and the showcase of my game. Best to you and good luck with your future endeavorsπ
Like in all of your games, you did a very good job on the sound, visuals and atmosphere!.. Loved the subtle changes in the environment that creates that unsettling feeling in the stomach! :)
i found both endings..
Keep up the great work man!
I feel really honored by so much support! Thank you dear friend. I truly appreciate your enthusiasm and hard work with both videos. It means a lot that my game can give you a great experience. I hope everything in your personal life would resolve and you wish and. Best to you and your amazing channel. Cheers! π
Hello Niven! Thank you for the game, I really appreciate it.
First off, I actually think this is probably my favorite of your games. I really dig the atmosphere, you really did a solid job with the sense of loneliness/isolation & the sound design that accompanies it. More so, this game actually made me jump quite a few times, so kudos for that.
In terms of game design, I think it stands well on its own. You see, what you have done here is create a reason for the character to be here, and although at first, it may seem mundane, cleaning cobwebs, the actual purpose of the player isn't actually that. Without spoiling the story (and for those of you reading, yes, there is one) it fits in perfectly and makes logical sense when you finally uncover the truth. So well done on the writing aspect too.
Graphically it is something close to my heart. Being an 80's kid, and growing up with videogames in the early 90's the art style & graphical choice are something that hits home and fills me wit nostalgia, so I can't fault your design here either. Overall, I really like this & think that this is a really underutilised genre & time period. Great overall, definitely give this one a try if you want something fun, creepy, and scary within around 10-15 minutes.
What a wonderful and kind feedback Aaron. Thank you so much. I really appreciate honest opinion, especially coming from a guy, who I am looking up to and always trying to mimic, more or less in a good way.
The idea and the script is not fully mine. As mentioned, it was a collab work with my friend and some of the visuals are his imaginative work. It was nice to hear from you and I truly can't wait to see your own new game soon.
Cheers mate!
Tryna narrate olde english tho was a little difficult... that was the horrific part of it for me, tryna pronounce and speaketh as such. :kekw:
jokes aside, I would've loved a bit more lore and world building such as being able to read a few pages outta some of the books in the library to give a feel of what the library held since they were highly regarded and treasured in the middle ages.
The atmosphere is on par, I would've liked to see more environment though, mostly because I'm interested in this world.
Amazing playthrough! I loved it a lot. Your interest in the library truly made me appreciate the game more. You were very kind with the feedback and I will try to improve the lore with the future games, for sure. Best to you. Cheers π
absolutely, I'm super happy I came to itch.io and found all sorts of neat games.
Now, I'll have to play your other games for sure <3 keep up the good work, I look forward to more from ya!
Cheers!
Just uploaded a video on the game Niven. Congratulations on your constant improvement with each game! Really great to see, loved the atmosphere.
I'll be sure to check out your other latest releases just to catch up and hyped before the next one :)
The video was fun to watch. It was so quite and I could actually immerse in the atmosphere and really feel how my project turned out to be. Thanks for that Koolie. I always try to improve with my games, adding some improvements, so yeah, will do better next time.
Best to you friend, cheers π
One of the best and most hilarious videos I've seen, especially the edits and commentary - solid gold man! Thanks once again for playing my game. I appreciate your feedback and support by purchasing my project. Best to ya, hope to see you around. Cheers π
Although, I did have my criticisms, it was a pretty good game nonetheless.
Thanks for playing my game. I have watched the video and got all the feedback I needed. Left a short explanatory comment and I do agree with you about most of the game's critique. It was fresh to see someone give a different look at the game. Wish you the best mate. Cheers π
Great game. No complaints other than for whatever reason, your game didn't like my screen recorder (xsplit). Not sure why, but it wouldn't capture your game, haha.. but a desktop grab worked perfectly :)
You are super kind man! Thanks for playing my game and I do appreciate the feedback, the showcase of my project and overall everything. Your video really made my day. I do apologize about the recorder issues, I am not sure why did it happen. Maybe next game can be recorded better, Idk lol. Once again, glad you enjoyed the experience. Best to you π
Some parts of this game got me pretty good and I did like the plot but .It took so long to find the cob webs . After it was all done and the creepy stuff started happening I was more frustrated and tired than scared but this game still made me jump a couple of times .I do wish you had added a cob web counter just to let us know how many more was left . Overall Its a good solid little indie game.
Once again, your support means a lot. Thanks for the playthrough and amazing feedback. I will definitely consider many details you mentioned for the next game. I am super glad you enjoyed the game. Cheers π

I can't express enough gratitude personally towards you and your team. The asset pack I used was superb, user friendly and it showcased the game in the best way possible. Without your content, my content would be worth nothing, so, the hard work is yours and once again, huge thanks for the support. Best to you PorkBellyGames ππ
Mine broom was so powerful that not even Pope Skeletor know what hit him. Nice work on this one, bro! Was quite a bit of fun. You improve each and every game.

This was great fun! I loved that it was straight into it, and I loved the atmosphere, ambiance and the art style! Great story and finding the cobwebbs was a little challenge. Another awesome game! Here is my play through with my final thoughts at the end.

SHELVED WHISPERS by Apish Box Games (No Commentary)
Niven I must say this is my new favorite game of yours. As much as I enjoyed Apish Box Games' previous releases, this is a giant leap forward in design and atmosphere. The sounds intensify the dark library setting and I found the story to be especially intriguing.
The mechanic of clearing cobwebs gives the player plenty of reason to explore the area and time to notice the strange and subtle changes in the environment. A remarkable effort from your team. Congrats!
This truly warms my heart. You are one of those amazing supporters, who has seen my worst and it brings me joy to evolve and showcase something special for you. I appteciate the feedback with the video, which i am going to watch rn and for the download. Thank you!
This was really solid! The atmosphere was pretty creepy and the style of the game also gave off an eerie vibe. Thanks for sending me this for free to check it out btw. Made a video on it.
I can not describe my immense gratitude towards you mate, thank you so much. Your feedback and amazing video means a lot.
Anytime. I am super motivated by those who support my work. Best to you man π
Hey Niven,
I gotta skip this one, as I've no Paypal account, nor do I want one. Sorry.
Hello Daniel.
Please, don't apologize. It is fine. Some time soon I make a new single and it will be free to try out. I did feel a lot of pressure about this game, but for now I work with other people and to my surprise we were able to get the budget for the game so, in short, it is official - first ever game to be sold under my guidance.
Anyways, thanks for showing up and appreciating my work. Cheers!
@ Niven,
Wow! That's great news. Well done. I'm proud of you. See, I knew I was onto something with you, and you proven me right.
Awesome, buddy.
Can't wait [for everything :o]
Have a nice day/evening and very happy developing!
Daniel
